Multilingual professionals are needed in all European countries. Due to the development of the European Union, it has become more and more crucial for multilingual speakers to become part of the process. Although English is the language that bonds these countries together business wise, knowing each others language helps greatly in interpersonal communication and making sure that everyone understands what is happening and what needs to be done.

As a multilingual professional, you are free to work in just about any European country. The European countries that desire multilingual professionals is based on what languages the multilingual professional speaks. For example, if you speak Russian, German and English, it may be hard for you to work in France since you are not proficient in French. However, this does not mean that you wouldn’t be highly desirable in countries such as England, Germany and Russia because of your proficiency in all three languages; you are able to communicate in the language of the host country as well as two other desired and needed languages.

Just about all of the European countries (95%) seek English speakers since it is a bonding language in business. Although many European citizens are fluent in English, perfection is their goal. Nevertheless, the countries that are most in need of multilingual professionals, especially those who speak English, are the Eastern European countries. These countries include Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic, Bosnia, Croatia, Albania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Turkey, Serbia and Montenegro and Maldova. Countries that are seeking to meet the European Union’s requirements are in desperate need of multilingual professionals as they are trying to recruit the best minds in order to jumpstart their economy, educational system, tourism, business relations, social work and more.

Likewise, Western European countries are very interested in multilingual speakers who speak Eastern European languages because they are much less spoken yet in Western Europe, but necessary for business and educational purposes. In order to connect all of Europe it is necessary that each country has multilingual professionals who can communicate efficiently with their European counterparts.

Therefore, all of Europe is open to multilingual professionals. The more languages that you are proficient in, the more countries you may be able to work in. Multilingual professionals are needed in a global market and therefore, you should have no problem finding a job in Europe.
